FOUNDATION HISTORY

In June of 2006, a group of concerned parents and educators, participating in Lead Butte, began meeting to explore the possibility of starting a local education foundation for the Butte Public Schools.

Factors that drove these discussions were:

• Lack of School Funding
• Declining Tax Base
• Technology Needs
• Innovation within our schools
• Economic Development
