WHAT IS BUTTE YOUTH LEADERSHIP?

Leaders are recognized in sports, schools, and businesses every day.  Some hold a high office and are managers but others are simply people that lead through example.  The Butte Youth Leadership Program strives to create leaders in Butte High School by broadening the student’s understanding of themselves and true leadership.  Modeled after Leadership Montana the program is designed to expand each student’s knowledge about themselves and also educate the students about Butte business and industry.  The program includes:

•  Leadership curriculum
• Personal Interest Assessments
• Roundtable discussions with area professionals
•  Tours of local manufacturers, businesses, and firms.

The program is designed for sophomores at Butte High School and will run from October through May each year.  Sessions will be held on Wednesdays during school time once a month.  Applications are available here and will be accepted until September 30th of each year for the upcoming school year.
