About the Butte Education Foundation
Every successful individual knows that his or her achievement depends on a community of persons working together.
FOUNDATION HISTORY
In June of 2006, a group of concerned parents and educators, participating in Lead Butte, began meeting to explore the possibility of starting a local education foundation for the Butte Public Schools.
Factors that drove these discussions were:
- Lack of School Funding
- Declining Tax Base
- Technology Needs
- Innovation within our schools
- Economic Development
FOUNDATION MISSION
The mission of the Butte Education Foundation (BEF) is to facilitate the funding of innovative educational programs and to advance community support for excellence through endowments, scholarships, grants, and specialized programs. The foundation will provide financial resources for students and educators in the district and county schools.
Our guiding vision is that EVERY CHILD has the right to an excellent education and that an investment in the Butte Public Schools is an investment in the Butte community.
